Successful business development is a combination of personal relationships, a strong reputation and relevant expertise and experience.
Our Business Development Workshop focuses on all three components. It consists of:
- A two-day workshop focused on communication and interpersonal skills, followed by
- One-on-one coaching sessions – at regular intervals – to incorporate the learned skills into practice habits.
Business Development Workshop
The two-day business development workshop teaches:
- The business development/sales process;
- Communication styles and preferences;
- Active listening techniques; and
- Team strategies.
Combining the skill-building exercises with a custom-designed case study, our Workshop participants observe, practice and improve their own business development behaviors.
Follow-up Coaching Sessions
Incorporating the lessons learned at the Workshop, participants work with a trainer/coach to plan and implement a business development strategy, setting and executing on both short- and long-term goals, that fit their individual practice situations.

Lawyers remember the case study. To that end, we have recruited a diverse group of individuals, any one of whom is able to serve as our case study “prospect.” Each has meaningful experience in sales and has worked in the private sector as CEO, founder or general counsel. The group includes both men and women at different stages in their careers.
